Dear Mr. Denton:
This letter is a follow-up letter to the above referenced letters regarding emergency relief requests from Technical Specification No. 3.5.2 of Unit 1 of the Donald C. Cook Nuclear Plant.
Please be advised that the repairs of the Unit 1 North Safety Injection pump have been successfully completed.
The pump was declared operable on September 29, 1982, within the alloted relief time granted by Amendment No.
62 to the Operating License of Unit 1.
Since the pump has been restored to operable status, we are hereby formally withdrawing our letter No. AEP:NRC:0739C dated September 24, 1982 (Reference 3) which was telecopied to you on September 24, 1982.
The requests for relief from the technical specification contained in references (1) and (2) have been reviewed both by the Plant's PNSRC and AEPSC's NSDRC.
As required by 10 CFR 170.22, a check in the amount of
$9,200.00 is attached to this letter in payment of the NRC processing of the above referenced requests.
The fee was calculated as follows:
$4,000 for reference (1) as a Class III amendment,
$ 1,200 for reference (2) as a Class II Amendment, and
$4,000 for reference (3) as a Class III Amendment.
