Dear Mr. Denton:
We are transmitting to you thirtehn signed original copies of the updated version of the Final Safety Analysis Report (FSAR) for the Donald C. Cook Nuclear Plant Unit Nos.
1 and 2, as required by 10 CFR 50.71(e).
This updated version of the FSAR<is based on the original FSAR, including 84 amendments, which was submitted in support of an application by Indiana
& Michigan Electric company (I&M) for licenses to operate the two units of the D. C. Cook Nuclear Plant.
Please note that we have dated the pages of this updated version of the FSAR with "July 1982" to establish a starting point for subsequent updates.
In agreement with the response to question B.4 contained in the "Clarifications" portion of the Attachment to Mr.
Eisenhut's letter of December 15, 1980, this updated FSAR is a "clean" document.
This document has been prepared following Corporate Procedures which incorporate a reasonable set of controls to insure its accuracy and completeness prior.to signature by the undersigned.
