Dear Mr. Denton:
This letter is a follow-up letter to the above referenced letter, regarding an emergency relief request from Technical Specification No. 3.5.2.
Please be advised that the Unit 1 East-Centrifugal Charging Pump was repaired and declared operable on June 9, 1982, within the allotted relief time.
At a special meeting of the PNSRC on June 9,
1982 the Technical Specification relief request and the safety evaluation contained in Reference (1) were reviewed.
The AEPSC NSDRC will review this modification at their next regularly sched'uled meeting.
As per 10 CFR.170.22, this one time request for relief from Technical Specification 3.5.2 requirements is classified as a Class IIIAmendment to the license; therefore a check in the amount of
$4,000 is hereby attached for NRC processing of the aforementioned request.
A copy of reference (1) is attached for your information.
