Dear Mr. Denton:
In our May 4, 1982 letter to you we stated that we would review that letter in accordance with our Corporate Procedures and inform the NRC if any modifications to it were required.
This temporary waiver of our procedural requirements was needed to provide the NRC with the information requested at our April 30; 1982 meeting as expeditiously as possible.
Upon review of the letter we would like to inform you of

In Attachment 1:
Item 7 stated, in part:
"To facilitate performing breaker modifications in close proximity to energized circuits, we have, on an interim basis, established around-the-clock, seven-day-week coverage by two qualified electricians/technicians Upon review of the schedule for this coverage, we found that there was a lack of coverage on Saturday and Sunday for a 30 minute period from 2330 to 2400 hours0.0278 days <br />0.667 hours <br />0.00397 weeks <br />9.132e-4 months <br />.
The coverage schedule was revised on May,21, 1982 to correct this error.
Item 9 stated, in part: "All licensed operators received formal training in the emergency shutdown procedure during January 1982 requalification training."
A review of the training records for the 38 licensed operators indicated that two (2) operators had not received this training in January 1982 since they were not available at that time.
All licensed operators, with the exception of one (1) who is currently off-shift, were trained in the emergency shutdown procedure by June 4,
1982.

Item 10 stated:
"The two electricians/technicians presently on shift on a 24 hour-per-day, seven-day-week schedule have received training in the breaker modification procedure."
The coverage from 0001 to 0700 hours0.0081 days <br />0.194 hours <br />0.00116 weeks <br />2.6635e-4 months <br /> was provided by one (1)
Indiana 6 Michigan Electric Company Supervisor and one (1) contractor electrician.
We identified that the contractor electricians assigned to this coverage had not received training in the breaker modification procedure.
These electricians were properly trained on May 21, 1982.
In Attachment 3:

2 of 2 Para ra h 1 stated in part:
"We believe the hole in the oil liftenclosure'is for a flexible conduit to the oil lift pump motor of the spare RCP Motor".
Since then we have had the opportunity (due to a Unit outage) to examine the oil collection enclosures in Unit 1.
We found that the conduit hole exists on the "in-service" RCP motor oil life pump enclosures.
This hole was repaired prior to bringing Unit 1 back on line.
The senior Resident Inspector was advised of this action.
