Dear Mr. Keppler:

This letter serves to provide the information requested in IE Bulletin No.79-03A, which was received on April ll, 1980, concerning the use of welded stainless steel pipe in safety-related systems at the Donald C.

Cook Nuclear Plant.

A312 type Tp 304 seamless or welded pipe is utilized in safety-related systems at the Cook Plant.

However, none of the safety-related systems utilizing A312 type Tp 304 pipe are stressed to more than 85Ã of the maximum allowable stress at the design temperature for pressure design.

Item Nos.

2 and 3 of the Bulletin are not applicable to the Cook Plant.

This letter serves to fulfillthe reporting requirements of Item No.

4 of the Bulletin.
