Dear Mr. Denton:
This letter 'responds to Mr. !A.O. Miller's letter of
'ecember 20, 1979 concerning the payment of a processing fee to the Commission for ou'r AEP:NRC:00317 submittal, dated November 30, 1979.
The submittal transmitted information relating to the installation of a Residual Heat Removal (RHR) Low Flow Alarm in Unit No.
2 of the Donald C.
Cook Nuclear Plant.
Installation of the RHR Low Flow Alarm, and submittal of the logic for the alarm, was required by Condition 2.C(3)
(L) of the Facility Operating License DPR-74.
Mr. Miller states in h'is letter that, based on their preliminary review, ONRR considers our AEP:NRC:00317 submittal to involve a single safety issue requiring a Class III fee of $4,000.00 pursuant to the requirements of 10 CFR 170.22.
Accordingly, attached is a check in the amount of $4,000.00.
