REPORT ON SMALL BREAK ACCIDENTS IN WESTINGHOUSE NSSS SYSTEM (WCAP-9600)
Dear Mr. Denton:
The subject report was transmitted to the NRC by Mr.Cordell Reed's letter to Mr. D. F. Ross, delivered by Mr. D.
B. Waters on June 29, 1979.
This report was submitted in response to a request for information con-cerning postulated small break accidents made to Mr. T.
M. Anderson of Westinghouse by Mr. D. F.
Ross on June 4,1979.
The subject report should be made a part of the Donald C.
Cook Nuclear Plant dockets for both Units 1 and 2.
Section 6 and Appendix A of the report is.,the response to question No.16 of your request.
It contains the revised generic Westinghouse emergency operations instructions.
Upon your review and approval, we will incorporate or adapt those guidelines which are applicable to the Cook Plant into our procedures and training program.
If we take any exceptions to these generic instructions in our procedures, we will inform you and explain our reasons for so doing.
