Dear Mr. Denton:
We have been informed by the Westinghouse Electric Corporation of a deficiency in the production calibration procedure for Lot 1 Barton Model No.. 764 differential pressure transmitters.
Westinghouse reported this deficiency, to the, Commission under 10..CFR;Part 21 via Mr. T.
M. Anderson's letter to Mr. J.
G. Davis dated June 11, 1979 (Westinghouse letter NS-TMA-2098)..
The fiv'e'5) affected transmitters at Cook Plant were installed in the "Steam Generator Water Level - Narrow Range" channels in Unit No. 2.
These transmitters are being returned to Barton for recalibration and will be replaced with qualified Barton Model No.
764 differential pressure transmitters prior to startup of the Unit.
AEP interprets 10 CFR 179 subsection 22 as requiring that no fee accompany this submittal.
