This letter is in response to the staff's request for further information referenced in our letter of April 7, 1978.
The attachment to this letter addresses the question raised by the staff under item 3.3. of the Draft Security Plan Evaluation Report prepared by J.
Bergrund concerning substantiation of the D. C.
Cook Nuclear Plant vital equipmjpt list.
The enclosed revision to Appendix B of the Modified Amended Se-"
curity Plan (MASP) provides justification for non-inclusion of certain safety-related equipment and amplifies the basis for establishing the vital equipment list described in Chapter 5 of the MASP.
Both the original and revised Appendix B were prepared by Bechtel Power Corporation, our security consultant, based on their generic study of potential conse-quences of sabotage sequences, It should be noted that the revised Appendix B completely replaces the original Appendix B and now emphasizes the prevention of all LOCA's.
We request that this attachment be considered Proprietary in accordance with 10 CFR-2.790 and withheld from public disclosure.
