NOTICE AND ORDER (Scheduling and Providing Instructions for Oral Argument)
Pending before this Licensing Board is a Petition to Intervene and Request for Hearing submitted on October 12, 2017 by Sierra Club.1 After reviewing the Petition and the subsequently filed related pleadings,2 the Board has determined that oral argument will assist it in resolving the issues presented. The Board will hold a telephonic oral argument concerning standing and contention admissibility on Thursday, November 30, 2017, at 2:00 P.M. EST.
The Board will hear argument from counsel for the parties in the following order:
(1) Sierra Club; (2) Entergy Operations, Inc. (Entergy); and (3) the NRC Staff. Sierra Club will have 60 minutes of argument time, and it may reserve up to 15 minutes of that time for rebuttal.
Entergy and the NRC Staff will each have 30 minutes of argument time. The parties should be prepared to discuss the issues raised in the Petition.

On or before Tuesday, November 21, 2017, the parties shall provide by e-mail to the Boards law clerk, Joe McManus (Joseph.McManus@nrc.gov), the name of the attorney who will present oral argument. Mr. McManus will provide the dial-in number and passcode to be used by counsel for the oral argument. No witnesses, other representatives of the parties, or members of the public will be heard during the argument.
Individuals who wish to hear the oral argument live on the listen-only telephone line may do so, and should contact Mr. McManus at the above email address or (301) 415-5356 for the dial-in number and passcode. The oral argument will be transcribed, and the transcript will be accessible to the public in the NRCs electronic hearing docket.
