Environmental Monitoring Re ort A supplemental Radiological Environmental Monitoring Report for St.
Lucie Unit 1 is attached.
This report is submitted pursuant to Appendix 8 of the St.
Lucie Unit 1 Technical Specifications, Specification 5.6.1.6.
The attached report replaces in its entirety our earlier Annual Radiological Environmental t1onitori ng Report for the period of January,l, 1981 through December 31; 1981 and provides information and data which was not available to be included in the original report.
This information did not alter any of the conclusions provided i n 'the earlier report.
The following is a
summary of information which has been incorporated into this supplement.
Sr89 Srgo results which were incomplete (delayed results) have been incorporated.
2.
Data from samples of "Food Crop - Citrus" - which were omitted from the original report in error have been incorporated in Table l.
3.
In our original r'eport, we stated that there was an apparent discrepancy between the lower limits of detection (LLD'.s) specified by the St. Lucie Unit 1 Technical Specifications and the LLD's published by the Florida Department of Health and Rehabilitative Services (DHRS) laboratory.
A re-evaluation of this apparent discrepancy was conducted by DHRS.
DHRS has concluded that their exi sting counting procedures are appropriate to meet or exceed all of the requirements of Table 3.2-3 of the St. Lucie Unit Technical P'
