Dear Mr. Knighton:
The Referenced letter submitted APS'esponses to the recommendations discussed in the NRC's Draft Technical Evaluation Report for Palo Verde concerning NUREG-0612, "Control of Heavy Loads."
In section 2.3.4 of the Referenced letter APS committed to make a point by point comparison of the specifications of the special lifting devices designed by Bechtel Power Corporation with the requirements of ANSI N14.6-1978 and Guideline 4 of NUREG-0612, and submit this comparison to the NRC by January 10, 1983.
Work is continuing on this comparison and is cur-rently expected to be sent to the NRC by February 15, 1983.
