SUMMARY
OF PARTIALLY CLOSED MEETING TO DISCUSS EXELON LEAD TEST ASSEMBLY PROGRAM FOR BYRON UNIT 2 OF THE WESTINGHOUSE ENCORETM ACCIDENT TOLERANT FUEL PRODUCT On October 3, 2017, a partially closed meeting was held between U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff, Westinghouse Electric Company (Westinghouse) staff and Exelon staff at the NRC headquarters in Rockville, MD. Exelon presented information on its lead test assembly program project for Byron Unit 2, operational considerations, licensing approach, and project schedule during the open to the public portion of the meeting.
Westinghouse presented proprietary information on its lead test rod program technologies, development, testing, and engineering considerations regarding its lead test assembly program during the closed to the public portion of the meeting.
