Dear Mr. Ross:

During your telephone conversation with John Allen of my staff on February 12, 1980, you indicated that you and Dr. Denton would be willing to meet with Mr. Allen, myself, and.other members of my staff to discuss the scope and schedule for the licensing review of the application for an Operating License for Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station Units 1, 2 and 3.

You suggested that due to the licensing efforts on near-term oper-ating license plants, the meeting be held in mid-March.

This timing would also give our NRC project manager sufficient time to draft out a licensing schedule for PVNGS.

We would like.to suggest the meeting be held either March 10 or ll, 1980.

If these dates are not acceptable, please let us know.

Also, since CESSAR-F is referenced in our appli-

cation, we would like to include it on the meeting agenda and discuss its review schedule.

In the meantime, our licensing group will meet with Mr. Lacitra to preliminarily inform him of our concerns and discuss our construction progress to date and the schedule for completion of Palo Verde.
