NOTICE OF INTENT TO PARTICIPATE AS A PARTY Pursuant to 10 C.F.R. § 2.1202(b), the NRC Staff (Staff) is required to notify the Atomic Safety and Licensing Board (Board) within fifteen (15) days of the issuance of an order granting a request for a hearing whether it desires to participate as a party and to identify the contentions with respect to which it wishes to participate as a party. On October 6, 2017, the Board issued a Memorandum and Order (Ruling on Standing and Admission of Contentions) wherein the Board granted standing to C-10 Research and Education Foundation, Inc. and admitted certain contentions as a single reformulated contention. The Staff hereby notifies the Board of its intent to participate as a party in this adjudicatory proceeding with respect to the reformulated and admitted contention.
