%NP-2 OPERATING LICENSE NPF-21 AMENDMENTTO THE RADIOACTIVEEFFLUENT RELEASE REPORT FOR JANUARYTHROUGH DECEMBER 1996 In accordance with 10 CFR 50.36a(a)(2) and WNP-2 Technical Specification 5.6.3, the amendment to the Radioactive Effluent Release Report is submitted as an enclosure to this letter.

The report includes a summary of the quantities of radioactive liquid and gaseous effluents and solid waste released from WNP-2 during the reporting period as required by this Technical Specification.

The changes are due to a correction to the meteorology data for the third and fourth quarters.

Allchanges are identified by revision bars in the right margin.

The largest increase was less than 0.005% of the applicable limit.

Most recalculated dose values decreased.

See the attached list of changes for a table of the recalculated dose values.
