conducted

Huey of this office on
April ll 14,
1995.
The inspection
included
a review of activities
authorized for your Washington
Nuclear Project-2 facility.
At the conclusion
of the inspection,
the findings were discussed
with those
members of your
staff identified in the enclosed
report.
Areas
examined during the inspection
are identified in the report.
Within
these
areas,
the inspection consisted
of selective
examinations
of procedures
and representative
records,
interviews with personnel,
and observation of
activities in progress.
The results of this inspection
are documented
in the
enclosed report.
This inspection specifically reviewed the Supply System's
employee
concern
program (i.e., the Nuclear Safety
Issue Policy/Direct Line Program) to
determine the effectiveness
of previous
management
actions to address
the
weaknesses "identified in
NRC Inspection
Report,
dated January
12,
1994.
Although the weaknesses
were found to have
been appropriately
addressed,
additional
management
attention is needed
to ensure that all personnel
are
aware of the program
and to reinforce your commitment to a discrimination-free
work environments
In accordance
with 10 CFR 2.790 of the
NRC's "Rules of Practice,"
a copy of
this letter
and its enclosures will be placed in the
NRC Public Document
Room.
