This refers to the inspection
conducted
by Mr. T.
R.
Meadows of this office,
and the personnel
identified in the enclosed
report,
on April 11-18,
1994.
The inspection
included
an assessment
of the qualifications of 12 individuals
who had applied for licenses
to operate your Washington Nuclear Project
No. 2.
At the conclusion of the inspection,
observations
of generic significance were
discussed
with you and those
members of your staff identified in the enclosed
report.
Appropriate licenses
have
been
issued to ll of the
12 applicants,
who
successfully
completed all portions of their examinations.
Areas
examined during the inspection
are identified in this report.
Within
these
areas,
the inspection consisted of an evaluation of license applicants
by the use of written examinations,
dynamic simulations,
and selected
job
related tasks,
and oral questioning
in accordance
with NUREG-1021,
"Operator
Licensing Examiner Standards,"
Revision 7.
The results of this inspection
are
documented
on page
1 of the enclosed
report.
In accordance
with 10 CFR 2.790 of the NRC's "Rules of Practice,"
a copy of
this letter and its enclosure will be placed in the
NRC Public Document
Room.
