SUBJECT:
1993 EXERCISE OBJECTIVES AND LIMITATIONS This letter refers to your December 1,
1992, letter which forwarded the objectives and limitations for the MNP-2 annual emergency exercise scheduled for February 22/23, 1993 (off-hours).
Me have completed our review of the exercise objectives and limitations.
The results of our review were discussed during a January 4,
1993, telephone conversation between Hs. Gail Good, of my staff, and Hr. Ron Utter, of your staff.
I understand that as a result of some of Hs. Good's
- comments, Hr.
Utter agreed to make several modifications to the objectives and limitations to clarify the extent of play in certain areas.
Hr. Utter indicated that the revised version of the objectives and limitations would be submitted with the scenario package.
Me were unable to reach Hr. Richard Donovan of the Federal Emergency Hanagement Agency (FEHA), Region X, prior to the issuance of this letter; therefore, we could not ascertain the level of FEHA involvement, if any, in this off-year exercise.
Depending on FEHA's plans, it may be necessary for you to make some adjustments to the objectives and limitations.
Please continue to coordinate with FEHA on this matter.
Based on the results of our review, and the actions planned by your staff, we find that the exercise objectives and limitations appear adequate to meet your emergency plan goals and requirements.
