EVALUATION OF TOPICAL REPORT WPPSS-FTS-127 "QUALIFICATIONOF CORE PHYSICS FOR BWR DESIGN AND ANALYSIS (TAC NO. H76783)

By letter dated March 29, 1990 (G02-90-061),

as supplemented by letter dated January 30, 1992 (G02-92-092),

you requested that the NRC review and approve your topical report WPPSS-FTS-127, Revision 0, "gualification of Core Physics Methods for BWR Design and Analysis."

The report describes the methodology intended for use at WNP-2 for plant operations

support, various fuel cycle and safety related calculations, and to provide necessary neutronics input data to transient analysis for WNP-2.

Based on our review of the information contained in your letters, we find the methodology described in WPPSS-FTS-127, Revision 0, to be acceptable for reload licensing applications subject to the conditions in the enclosed Safety Evaluation.
