ADDITIONAL ENS TELEPHONE LOCATION AT WNP-2 The Supply System's Operations group has determined tHat an additional ENS telephone is required in the control room area of WNP-2.

With this letter we are formally requesting you to initiate this addition.

The NRC has recognized the need for a 2nd ENS telephone in the control room area of other nuclear plants as evidenced by their "Emergency Notification System Sample Configuration" diagram (attached).

There is presently one telephone located near the Shift Supervisors desk.

The Supply System owns and controls all telephone cabling within WNP-2.

The new location will require us to design a

new conduit route and install telephone cable between the new ENS location and the main ENS control package (NR-6).

The NRC is r equested to provide the telephone instrument, required control package equipment and direction to ATTCOM.

The Supply System will provide the telephone

cable, route to the new ENS location and a technician to accompany and assist ATTCOM in the setup of the circuit.

Please confirm your concurrence of the new ENS addition at the earliest time so we can initiate the installation of the new conduit and cabling.

Do not schedule ATTCOM's installation date until we confirm with you that the conduit and cabling are in place.
