SUBJECT: NRC INSPECTION REPORT 50-397/98-08
Dear Mr. Parrish:
From June 22-26, 1998, a routine solid radioactive waste management
program and radioactive
waste/materials transportation program
inspection was conducted at your Washington Nuclear
Project-2 reactor facility. The enclosed report presents the scope and results of that inspection.
Overall, the inspection verified that good solid radioactive waste management
and radioactive
waste/materials transportation programs were effectively implemented.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the NRC's "Rules of Practice," a copy of this letter, its
enclosure(s),
and your response will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room (PDR).
Should you have any questions concerning this inspection, we will be pleased to discuss them
