SUMMARY

OF NRC FIRE PROTECTION CONCERNS AT WNP-2 Issues to Discuss with the Supply System and to Inspect at WNP-2:

Verification that the current control room evacuation procedure has the appropriate modifications implemented Review the time requirements to initiate ADS operation Inspect the adequacy of the Division I and ADS transfer switches "Ring out" two circuits and "walk down" each of the two cables Inspect the transfer switches for the SM-8 cabinets Review the results of the high impedance fault analysis which was scheduled for completion January 1,

1987 Review the licensee's "best efforts" to have the fire water line modifications complete prior to restart following the next refueling outage I

Walk down the fire water lines and the locations of the proposed modifications Review the NFPA opinion on the fire line under the diesel generator building Walk down the locations of the MCCs for the RHR-V-8 and RHR-V-9 valves and the pressure interlocks Evaluate the fire loading in the control room Walk through the plant with Supply System personnel identifying the locations of new and previously existing emergency lighting Review the status of overall program for upgrading emergency lighting Review the status of the fire protection evaluation by the Supply System's contractor with specific reference to the locations of smoke detectors
