The Commissioners of the Snohomish County Public UtilityDistrict, in a 2-1 vote on February 27,
- 1985, decided to withdraw from membership in the Washington Public Power Supply System.
Snohomish is the sixth member to withdraw from the Supply System since August 1984.
References 1
and 2 provided notification of earlier withdrawals.
As previously stated, withdrawal from membership does not release the public utility district from existing obligations.
Supply System membership now consists of 17 utilities, including 13 public utility districts and 4 municipal utilities.
At its January ll, 1985 meeting, the Supply System Board of Directors elected the following officers:
Ken Cochrane, Franklin County PUD - President Parker Knight, Skamania County PUD - Vice President Vera Claussen, Grant County PUD - Secretary All officers were elected for two-year terms, expiring in January 1987.
