CONDITION, WNP-2 106 DESIGN VERIFICATION OF SEISMIC CATEGORY I EQUALITY CLASS I HVAC SYSTEM HANGERS

Reference:

G02-80-293, dated December 15, 1980 The referenced letter provided an interim report of the subject poten-tially reportable condition.

This letter reports on the status of planned actions and the expected date a final report can be provided to the Commission.

It is expected the Contractor can complete the review of the installed hanger designs and provide the required design verifications or identi-fication of deficiencies prior to June 1, 1981.

Any deficiencies identified will be documented by Noq-Conformance Reports.

To date, revised Contractor procedures, assuring hanger designs are adequately verified, have been approved and the Contractor has been directed to provide design verification, in accordance with the revised procedures, for hangers considered to be permanently installed.
