2 Transmittal of Security Plan guestions Originated 'by Nuclear Materials Safe uards and Securit The purpose of this letter is to request your efforts to formalize and submit for our disposition, NRC branch questions on the WNP-2 Physical Security Plan and Safeguards Contingency Plan.
The Physical Security Plan was submitted for review on January 2, 1979, and the Safeguards Contingency Plan was submitted on April 23, 1979.
Draft questions were generated on the Physical Security Plan in March 1980, and on the Safeguards Contingency Plan in July 1980.
Our need for your formal submittal of these questions is to allow WNP-2 to factor the NRC review into design work on the Security System.
At
- present, without this submittal, the WNP-2 Project plans to impose a
hold on the design effective December 31, 1980, until NRC questions are resolved.
Expeditious action will allow us to meet our construction schedule and resolve NRC questions and inputs during the design phase.
Continued delays in receipt of questions on the submitted plans will impact our.'bility to meet these goals.
