Dear Mr. Eisenhut:
The reference letter requested our schedule for.completing a review of equipment qualification documents for safety-related electrical equipment.
The purpose of this review should be to identify the degree to which our qualification meets with the staff's position described in NUREG-0588.
Mr. Ross's letter also indicated that the staff expected to resolve comments on NUREG-0588 and issue the staff position in effective form by April 1980.

RENBERGER ASSISTANT DIRECTOR TECHNOLOGY We are commenting in a separ ate letter on the draft of NUREG-0588.
The acceptance of our comments by the staff would hopefully result in significant changes to some of the requirements in NUREG-0888.
A schedule for completion of our review will be provided following final issuance of NUREG-0588.
