Minutes of Meeting Regarding WPPSS QA Program
Dear Mr. Lynch:
The minutes dated April 2 of the meeting which the Staff held with the Washington Public Power Supply System
("Supply System" ) on January 4, 1980, to discuss the possible affects of unionization in the Supply System's Quality Assurance Program contain a fundamental misstate-ment.
The last paragraph of the minutes state that "it was determined that WPPSS had successfully convinced the 14 QA personnel not to join Local 598 In fact, the Supply System had absolutely no influence on the election in which the QA personnel voted not to join Local 598.
This statement in the minutes could have significant adverse implications for the Supply System.
Accordingly, we request that you issue a correction to the minutes to reflect the actual facts.
It is imperative that this correction be issued at the earliest possible time so that we may rely upon the minutes in further evaluating this matter.
One possible wording might be. that "it was deter-mined that the 14 QA personnel elected not to join Local 598 Sincere y
