Irmediate Action Letters to Stop Work on Sacrificial Shield and Pipe Mhip Restraints NRC:RY has issued t~e Irrnediate Action Letters to Washington Public Power Supply System today requesting the stoppage of work relating to the sacrificial shield ~all and certain pipe whip restraints, as indicated below; Sacr'.ficial Shield Mall - The licensee has recently submitted a
10CFR 50.55(e) report to the hRC identifying a problem with improper 'assembly of the wall.
This and other problems of concrete voids, visually rejectable
- welds, and related repairs warrant the cessation of further repairs or addition of attachrents pending identification of all problems and NRC review of the corrective action plan.
