Irmediate Action Letters to Stop Work on Sacrificial Shield and Pipe Mhip Restraints NRC:RY has issued t~e Irrnediate Action Letters to Washington Public Power Supply System today requesting the stoppage of work relating to the sacrificial shield ~all and certain pipe whip restraints, as indicated below; Sacr'.ficial Shield Mall - The licensee has recently submitted a

10CFR 50.55(e) report to the hRC identifying a problem with improper 'assembly of the wall.

This and other problems of concrete voids, visually rejectable

welds, and related repairs warrant the cessation of further repairs or addition of attachrents pending identification of all problems and NRC review of the corrective action plan.
