Dear Dr. Jackson:
PACIFIC NORTHWEST EARTH UAKE CATALOG Under separate cover we are sending one copy of our Pacific Northwest Earthquake catalog along with an epicentral plot.
This catalog covers the area-between 44 to 54 north latitude and 110 to 128 west longitude for the years 1841 through 1977.
The data set was compiled for the Supply System by Woodward-Clyde Con-sultants and represents the record as established in our Safety Analysis Reports and other studies for siting future energy facilities in the Pacific Northwest.
The draft catalog of earthquake epicenters, prepared by Woodward-Clyde in 1976, should not be used as "it has been superseded by this newer catalog.
As new data becomes available, periodic updates will be made and supple-mental catalogs issued.
If you notice any errors or omissions, please advise in order that we may correct the catalog at the earliest time. If you have any questions or comments, please call (509) 375-5383.
