NRC INTEGRATED INSPECTION REPORT 50-244/98-11
Dear Dr. Mecredy:
This letter transmits the results of safety inspections conducted by NRC inspectors at the
Ginna Nuclear Power Plant from September 7, 1998 through October 18, 1998. At the
conclusion of the inspection, the findings were discussed with Mr. J. Widay and others of
your staff.
During the six week period covered by this inspection period, we noted good sustained
plant operation.
Your staff coordinated well with Westinghouse representatives
in
correcting deficiencies in a.refurbished service water pump circuit breaker.
The
performance of spent fuel pool re-rack activities continues to go well, and personnel
exposure levels for this effort have remained low.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the NRC's "Rules of Practice,"
a copy of this letter
and its enclosures will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room (PDR).
