1997, as supplemented by letter dated July 8,
1997, you submitted for NRC staff review your 'staff's assessment of the plant-specific applicability of Westinghouse Topical Report WCAP-14535, "Topical Report on Reactor Coolant Pump Flywheel Inspection Elimination," to the R.

E.

Ginna Nuclear Power Plant.

The staff has completed its review of this information.

The safety evaluation (SE) is provided in the enclosure.

In this SE, the staff determined that the submittal has satisfied all conditions specified in the SE dated September 12, 1996, for WCAP-14535, and has demonstrated the plant-specific applicability of WCAP-14535 for Ginna.

Therefore, we have determined that you may change R.

E. Ginna Inservice Inspection Program to reflect the revised flywheel inspection interval of 10 years in accordance with the conclusion of the SE for WCAP-14535.
