1995, Rochester Gas and Electric Corporation requested deviations from the Regulatory Guide 1.97 recommendation for environmentally qualified neutron flux monitoring instrumentation at the R.

E. Ginna Nuclear Power Plant.

The NRC staff has reviewed the proposed deviations and concluded that they are acceptable.

A Supplemental Safety Evaluation is enclosed.

This letter closes TAC No. H90036.
