- 1995, Rochester Gas and Electric Corporation requested a Technical Specification (TS) change to increase the surveillance intervals from 18 months to 24 months for offsite power and emergency diesel generator surveillance testing.
After a preliminary review of the above TS change the Electrical Engineering Branch (EELB) contacted Hr. Allen Johnson of your staff and requested additional information to clarify the scope of the maintenance history and surveillance records review which was conducted by the licensee.
By a fax letter dated November 20, 1995, the licensee submitted additional information which clarified the technical basis for the extension of the subject surveillance interval.
On the basis of our review, EELB finds that TS change is acceptable as discussed in the attached safety evaluation (Attachment 1).
This completes our review under TAC No. H92969.
Attachment 2 is the systematic assessment of licensee performance (SALP) input for this review.
