Dear Mr. Johnson:
In Reference (a) the NRC requested information concerning the potential behavior of the containment wall at the base.
In Reference (b)
RG&E responded that during the 1993 Integrated Leak Rate Test (ILRT), the radial displacement of the containment would be monitored at approximately the same locations monitored during the pre-operational test.
The results of those measurements are documented in Technical Report 500167-7, "Radial Displacement and Rebar Strain Measurements for EWR 5181,"
May 17, 1993.
The data collected during the 1993 ILRT was consistent with the data collected from the 1969 S.I.T.
As requested in your November 3,
1993 conference call, a copy of that report is enclosed.
