Dear Dr. Mecredy:
Representatives of four Eastern European government nuclear regulatory bodies are visiting Region I for training as a nuclear power industry regulator.
As part of that training, they will be visiting some of the nuclear powered electric generating stations in NRC Region I.
The names, countries, and badge numbers of our Eastern European guests are:

It is currently planned that they willvisit the R. E. Ginna Nuclear Power Plant the week of September 14, 1993 to observe the initial licensed operator exam and work with the resident inspectors.
In addition, Messrs. M. Lipar and M. Musak will remain on site the beginning of the following week (September
- 20) to observe part of the licensed operator requalification program evaluation and continue to work with the resident inspectors.
They have not completed general training in radiological protection, security, and personal safety.
Therefore, I am requesting that they be afforded escorted access to your facility.

This letter is effective upon receipt and expires on October 31, 1993.
