1993, you provided the Rochester Gas 8 Electric Corporation's response to the subject Generic Letter (GL) for the R.E.

Ginna Station.

Your response confirmed your previous letter dated July 29,

1992, which responded to NRC Bulletin 92-01, "Failure of Thermo-Lag 330 Fire Barrier System to Maintain Cabling in Wide Cable Trays and Small Conduits Free From Fire Damage",

indicating that Thermo-Lag 330-1 is not used at the R.

E.

GINNA Nuclear Power Plant.

Your confirmation provides an adequate basis to consider NRC's action complete for this station.

Therefore, TAC NO. H85553 is hereby, closed.

You are reminded that the GL informed you that you are expected to review the information in the GL to determine if it applies to other barrier materials and systems used at your facility and to consider actions, as appropriate, to avoid similar problems.

Further NRC review on this matter, if any, will be performed by inspection or audit.
