R. E. GINNA RESIDENT INSPECTION 50-244/93-03 (1/27/93 - 3/9/93)
This letter transmits the January 27 to March 9, 1993 inspection findings of Messrs. T. Moslak
and E. Knutson at the R. E. Ginna Nuclear Power Plant.
At the end of the inspection,
Mr. T. Moslak of my staff summarized the findings with Mr. J. Widay and other members of
your staff.
The inspection primarily examined
the control of operations,
maintenance,
and surveillance
activities conducted
during this period.
Within this scope,
we found effective coordination
between
your operations,
maintenance,
and
engineering
staffs
in performing corrective
maintenance.
In particular, PORC actively evaluated safety implications for these activities and
provided sound equipment operability determinations.
