Inservice Inspection Program Inspection at R.E. Ginna Nuclear Power Plant,
(NRC Inspection Report No. 50-244/92-06)
This refers
to the safety inspection
conducted
by Mr. R. A. McBrearty of this office on
April 13-l7, 1992 at the R. E. Ginna Nuclear Power Plant, Ontario, New York of activities
authorized
by NRC License No. DPR-18 and to the discussions of our findings held by
Mr. McBrearty with Mr. R. Marchionda of your staff at the conclusion of the inspection.
The inspection was directed toward the inservice inspection program and the steam generator tube
eddy current examination program.
These inspections are used to determine that programs you
have in place to detect inservice degradation confirm the plant's acceptability for continued safe
operation and satisfy your commitments and regulatory requirements.
Generally, we found your
program implementation satisfactory.
Areas examined during this inspection are described in the
NRC Region I Inspection Report which is enclosed with this letter.
Within these areas,
the
inspection
consisted
of selective
examinations
of procedures
and
representative
records,
interviews, with personnel and observations by the inspector.
Within the scope of this inspection, no violations were observed.
