An unannounced

safety inspection of the radiation protection

program at your facility was conducted

by R. Lance on October

28

November 1,

1991.

Areas reviewed included status of

previous findings, organization

and staffing, audits,

planning

and preparation for the upcoming outage, training, internal

exposure controls,

contamination controls

and control of

radioactive material,

and ALARA.

The inspector noted that your Health Physics staff are involved

in many new initiatives in the areas of training,

ALARA, and

respiratory protection.

The inspector also observed that your

staff is continuing to aggressively

address

the problem of

personnel

contaminations.

Within the scope of this inspection,

no violations were

identified.

No response
