Correction to RG&E's Response to Generic Letter 88-14 R.E.

Dear Mr. Johnson:

By letter dated June 17,

1991, RGGE provided written notification that all actions necessary to implement our commitments regarding Generic Letter 88-14, "Instrument Air Supply System Problems Affecting Safety Related Equipment," were complete.

On sheet three of our letter, item 8 of the response to Action 4 stated that RGEE performs a blowdown of the air receivers each shift.

Actually, it is the air compressor after cooler

- traps upstream of the air receivers that are blown down each shift.

This reduces or eliminates the moisture content of the air before it reaches the receivers and is more appropriate than blowdown of the receivers themselves.
