PURPOSE:

ABB Impell 200 South Street Wal tham, Massachusetts 02154 Management meeting to discuss the initial results of the seismic model developed by Impell for the Ginna containment.

The requested meeting by RG&E with the Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation has been scheduled for December 13, 1990 to review the initial results of the seismic model developed by Impell with regards to the containment integrity.

The agenda will primarily address:

1.

Consideration of appropriate seismic and loss of coolant accident (LOCA) load combinations for"the following:

a.

Structural detail between the cylindrical wall of the containment and the basemat.

b.

Effects of the bellows on the function of the tendons.

c.

Capability of the tension rods to perform their functions.

d.

Boundary conditions on the overall joint design.

d.1 Sliding condition with hinge connection.

d.2 Non-sliding condition with hinge connection.

d.3 Partially fixed base for both conditions.
