Dear Mr. Johnson:
In Reference
- 1) it was pointed out to the Commission that certain Human Engineering Discrepancies (HEDs) were still open with
.modifications pending.
Two of th'ese HEDs addressed 4160V circuit breaker control and syncroscope switch relocation.
Reference 2) explained to the Commission why the relocation of these switches should not be done until such time as the modification for the new reconfigured offsite power supply was installed.
The modification for the offsite power supply was completed during the Ginna 1989 shutdown.
This modification involved addition of circuit breaker control switches to the main control board.
These additions and the concerns of the aforementioned HEDs were given a Human Factors Review before plant startup on May 29, 1989.
The results of this review were satisfactory.
