Proposed Changes to Snubber Technical Specification R.E.
Ginna Nuclear Power Plant Docket No. 50-244
Dear Mr. Stahle:
On July 24,
- 1987, RG&E submitted revised pages to the proposed "Snubber Technical Specifications".
Subsequent to that submittal, as a result of NRC questions, several related changes to the Technical Specifications were-proposed, as follows:

RG&E's letter of May 4, 1988 proposed a change to page 4.14-5, paragraph 4.14.1.e, to state: "...all snubbers of the same type subject to the same defect shall be functionall tested or evaluated in a manner to ensure 2.
RG&E letter of May 13, 1988 proposed.
an addition to the basis for Technical Specification 3.13, "Snubbers".
This addition allowed the use of rigid structural supports (bumpers) in place of hydraulic snubbers in certain instances.
See second paragraph of basis for TS 3.13.
This was approved by the NRC as Amendment No. 31.

By letter dated June 21, 1988, RG&E proposed, that the word "supports" be added between "lubrication" and "or other auxiliary equipment" in paragraph 1.4, page 1-la.

By letter dated September 16,
- 1988, RG&E proposed to modify the last sentence of paragraph 4.14, page 4.14-4, to state that "Steam generator snubbers are excluded from the functional testing requirements until the first refueling outage following completion of the SG snubber replacement program."
