Dear Mr. Stahle:
When designed. and. built:, the R.E. Ginna Station was. con-sidered to have an operating life of at least 40 years. While studies will continue to facilitate further extension of the Ginna license, this letter is being sent to extend a full 40 years of operation beyond. the date of the provisional it to allow operating license issuance. In support of this extension the following materials are enclosed:
- 1. An Application to amend the Operating License to reflect that the license will not expire until midnight, September- 18, 2009 rather than the present date of April 25, 2006.
- 2. A check for $ 150 in accordance with 10CFR170.12.
