Dear Mr. Stahle:
When designed.
and. built:, the R.E.
Ginna Station was. con-sidered to have an operating life of at least 40 years.
While studies will continue to facilitate further extension of the Ginna license, this letter is being sent to extend it to allow a full 40 years of operation beyond. the date of the provisional operating license issuance.
In support of this extension the following materials are enclosed:
1.
An Application to amend the Operating License to reflect that the license will not expire until midnight, September-18, 2009 rather than the present date of April 25, 2006.
2.
A check for $ 150 in accordance with 10CFR170.12.
