Dear Mr. Crutchfield:
In your May 18, 1981 letter relative to this SEP topic, you transmitted the final evaluation for the Ginna "Exclusion Area
'uthority and Control," subject to revision as needed to reflect the as-built condition at the facility.
By submittal of this
- letter, RG&E is modifying the exclusion area for the Ginna site.
The new exclusion area for Ginna, shown on the attached figure, should be incorporated into the SEP assessment for this topic.
All other aspects of the assessment remain the same.
There is no modification required to the Ginna Technical Specifications, since the minimum exclusion distance is not changed (450 meters).
This new exclusion area is presently being used in the RG&E evaluation of the NRC's assessment of SEP Topic II-2.C, "Atmospheric Transport and Diffusion Characteristics for Accident Analysis,"
transmitted by letter dated April 9, 1981.
As stated in our May 22, 1981 letter relative to this topic, the assessment will be transmitted to the NRC by June 30, 1981.
