Dear Hr. Crutchfield:
In your letter dated January 7,
- 1981, you requested that we provide a schedule for upgrading the battery racks at Ginna.
By letter dated February 6,
1981 we indicated that the modification would be completed by the end of the Spring 1981 outage.
Based on the current, status of the modifi-
- cation, and the scheduled start-up date from the current
- outage, June 16, 1981, additional time will be required.
Several factors have contributed to this delay these factors include some design difficulties and a lack of manpower to complete both this modification and other modifications such as the fire detection system installation.
Ne expect to complete the battery rack upgrade by mid-July, 1981.
