IE Bulletin No. 80-21, "Valve Yokes Supplied by Malcolm Foundry Company, Inc.
R. E. Ginna Nuclear Power Plant, Unit 41 Docket No. 50-244
Dear Mr. Grier:
In response to Inspection and Enforcemeat Bulletin 80-21 dated November 6, 1980 concerning cracks discovered in the yokes of a number of valves at the Susquehanna Steam Electric Station, a survey of valve manufacturers which supplied.valves for Ginna Station was made.
All venders of safety related active valves in Ginna Station except Anchor-Darling have stated that they have not used Malcolm Foundry Inc. for valve parts.
Anchor-Darling has stated that no Malcolm Foundry valves or components were supplied to Ginna Station.
For information purposes, we have performed hardness testing and visual'inspection of valve yokes of the Anchor-Darling valves, including both stainless and carbon steel valves.
We have not found any discrepancies with these valves.

To assist in evaluating the value/impact of each Bulletin on Licensees, manpower expended in conduct of the review and, preparation of this report is approximately 41 manhours.
No corrective actions were necessary.
