Dear Mr. Crutchfield:
This letter updates the status of our steam 'generator repair activities and requests your approval for addition efforts.'.
Following receipt of your approval on l1arch 1, we proceeded to remove steam generator tubes from the Ginna B steam generator.
Based on the results of examination
. and on the results of analyses and tests which have been conducted, we propose to remove all tubing sections which are structurally degraded.
Sections to be removed extend from immediately above the tube sheet to just below the first support plate.
The specific tubes with sections to be removed are listed on the attachment to this letter.
It may be necessary to remove additional tubes in order'to gain access to the tubes requiring removal.
We expect to remove all tube sections through access 'ports which have been placed in the steam generator shell immediately above the tube sheet.

- change, we will inform you.
