Dear Mr. Haynes:

This letter is to document our actions regarding the deter-mination of which Ginna Station group will be responsible for performing future fire seal inspections as stated in paragraph 6a of NRC Inspection Report 81-24.

Currently the Results

& Test Department will continue to perform the inspection of fire barrier penetration seals associated with PT-13.1.14.

Although this group will be the responsible group, the Quality Control section and the Maintenance section will be available as necessary for assistance in these inspections.

RG&E regrets the delay in submitting this information to you due to the event of January 25, 1982 and subsequent recovery actions.

Should you require any further information, we will supply this information in a timely manner.
